Dinner at Rob's Bistro

In a continuing effort to be more budget conscious, Rob has been making dinner at home. If our dinners at home continue to look like this, I don't know if I'll ever want to eat out again.

Cod broiled with dill and capers.
Served with a side of brown rice and blanched squash

Shrimp served on a bed of fettuccine with red cabbage and red peppers in a thai-inspired sauce

Fresh Mediterranean Salad with Italian Salami with fresh crostini

Seared Ahi Tuna served with brown rice and a fresh Asian inspired herb salad

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

I suspect that Rob is trying to fatten me up. I guess i will be re-gaining the weight I lost while he was out-of-town.

I don't think these photos really do the food justice.

Nspeis - Suprisingly, it is cheaper.
We got the cuts of fish for $6-8 an entree. The most expensive being the Ahi Tuna, but even that was only $9. The shrimp was of the frozen variety and it was only $5.99 for a 5lb. bag. The rest of the produce we bought from Trader Joes, Fresh and Easy and our local Farmer's market. All of which were very cheap. I just need to keep him motivated. Otherwise, it's back to take-out;)
